The LBI Unithon is an annual 19 or so mile unicycle ride from Holgate at the southern tip of Long Beach Island to Barnegat Lighthouse at the northern end of the island. Riders from past Unithons have come from as far away as Germany and have been as young as 9 and as old as 50 something. The Alliance for a Living Ocean provides 4 breaks along the route with supplies of fresh water, fruit and snacks.

Directions
Garden State Parkway to exit 63.Take Route 72 east and cross the causeway bridge and stay straight to a T intersection.
To Holgate:
Make a right onto Long Beach Blvd. Follow this all the way to the end. The park and parking are at the end of the southern tip of the island.
- Riders going directly to Holgate should plan on arriving promptly at 9:45 AM in anticipation of the 10:00 AM start time. Riders going directly to Holgate will not be shuttled from Barnegat Light but arrangements will be made after the Unithon to get these riders back to their cars from the Lighthouse.
To Barnegat Light:
Make a left and follow all the way into Barnegat Light. The road forks and you fork left and follow to the Lighthouse parking lot.
- Riders going to Barnegat Light should arrive promptly at 9:00 AM. These riders will be shuttled down to Holgate in time for the 10:00 AM start time
